On The Rise: Jimmy Wit An H

I’m excited to have these next On The Rise artists featured because they are very versatile. The Brother Duo from Georgia makes everything from jazz to EDM and they have such a unique style and sound. The brothers, T.J. and Darien have a lot planned for 2018, so be on the lookout for their name and music! Check out our interview below!

Where Are You From?

“We are a rap group from Fort Lauderdale, Florida but we’ve lived in Georgia for most of our adult lives.”

How Would You Describe Your Style?

“We’re a bunch of different genres and styles, from jazz to even EDM, all mixed in with Hip-hop Lyricism.”

Who Are Your Biggest Musical Influences?

(TJ): “Mine are all across the board since I also produce. So a lot of producers like Troyboi, Timbaland, J.Cole, RL.Grime, Pharrell. Then for rappers like J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Royce Da 59, Outkast”

Jimmy Wit An H

(Darian): “I pull a lot from classic artists like Prince and Hall and Oats. But I’ll always reference back to Jay-z, Outkast, or even Migos nowadays.”

What Inspired You To Start Making Music?

“For some reason, we just clicked with music over Sports and stuff from our youth. We liked the creative process and everything that goes into creating a song. It was also the easiest way we could express ourselves. We started getting better the more we played around.”

What Are Your Plans For The Future?

“We have a lot of music being released this year. Music from Rap/ Hip-Hop all the way to some Electronic House features. So our main mission is to get everything out and heard all while building our label Chicken Network. Staying busy.”
