On The Rise: Yung Pharaoh


It’s about that time to introduce you to MIKE TV’s newest On The Rise artist, Yung Pharaoh. Yung Pharaoh is fresh out of Louisiana and is currently on tour around the U.S. making a name for himself. I came across his music early last week and what I heard was such a unique sound. It was only right to reach out to him for an interview, which you can read below!


Where Are You From?

“I’m from Shreveport Louisiana and currently on tour.”


How Would You Describe Your Style?

“I describe my style as melodic and versatile bringing back lyrics with an Egyptian flavor.”


Who Are Your Biggest Musical Influences?

“My biggest influences are lil wayne, Kevin gates, and fat trel.”



What Inspired You To Start Rapping?

“My brother Slim Loc inspired me to make music at 10 years old when he put me in the booth to get do a feature with him.”


When Was The Moment That You Decided You Were Going To Rap?

“Before I started rapping I wrote books and was already lyrical because I was always writing so it came natural and it expanded with time.”


What Are Your Plans For The Future?

“My plans for the future is too keep making music keep touring and gaining fans to be apart of my team Money Not Music and spread the business wise and knowledge of the industry and help artists become greater and more experienced.”
