Last Night, Frank Ocean delivered his second-ever performance in the US since 2014 at NYC’s Panorama Festival, following his debut at FYF Fest. On top of delivering a stellar performance, Ocean got people talking after wearing an anti-discrimination shirt that read, “WHY BE RACIST, SEXIST, HOMOPHOBIC, OR TRANSPHOBIC WHEN YOU COULD JUST BE QUIET.” The shirt is made by and available on Green Box Shop, an independent t-shirt maker that specializes in social justice tee shirts. For his choice of footwear, Frank rocked the Off-White™ c/o Nike “Prestos.”
It’s not the first time Frank Ocean was vocal about anti-discrimination. Following the Orlando gay nightclub shooting that killed 49 people in 2016, Ocean wrote an essay expressing his sadness and frustration regarding the event. He talks about his first experience with homophobia which involved his father. In 2017, Ocean’s father sued him for $14.5 million over the homophobia claim. Check out clips of his performance, his shirt and his kicks below.
