Personal Struggles Turned into art with New “Kill Jay Z” Video

JAY-Z continues to drop new videos for songs off his fourteenth studio album 4:44. After the clip for the Damian Marley-assisted LP cut “BAM” landed on YouTube, Hov once again took to his platform of choice to unveil a new visual for one his latest project’s most talked-about records. Continuing to piece together the puzzle that is the visual side of 4:44, the NYC legend connects with director Mark Romanek — who previously directed the famous “99 Problems” vignette and a slew of other high-profile, well-known music videos — to cook up a short piece for “Kill Jay Z.” One of the standout selections on the new JAY Z project, “Kill Jay Z” serves a way for its creator to exorcise his personal demons and take apart his own ego.
